Job Title: Material Coordinator

Job Description

Ensures correct inventories for component/press/sssembly material (inventory control process)

Interfaces with suppliers, LLP, and plant floor on material issues

Monitors pull systems through periodic audits

Evaluates the Concerned Parts Report daily and takes action if necessary

Responsible for alarm 2 and alarm 5 follow-up in the 5 Alarm Process

Responds to and resolves floor problems in the assigned floor area such as min/max conditions, standard pack discrepancies, packaging compliance coordination with the supplier, labeling, part misuse, and discrepancy reports

Resolves other supplier non-conformances

Manages part buffers using regional tools

Participates on the team

Confirms/issues PRR’s for various issues and follows up on supplier responses

Manages material flow on source changes

Maintains all plant material records

Investigates record errors

Investigates part histories to identify misuse, specification problems, unaccounted scrap, or potential theft.

Maintains supplier parameters on schedules

Responsible for as required material such as shims & wheel weights

Maintains ISO standards

Implements, monitors, and maintains GMS elements

Performs receiving/material receipt analysis and investigates losses

Audits the receiving process, follows up, and resolves discrepancies

Participates in MGO/SAP part information data transfer for Engineering Changes

Performs supplier evaluation and development

Responsible for Pick-up sheet process adherence

Must Have Experience With:

Determining supplier over shipments

Obtaining authorization for material return

Coordinating inter-plant and SPO sales

Auditing

Coordinating material flow activity

Interfacing with suppliers

Maintaining all plant material records

Internal Controls compliance

Working with material supervisors

Communicating receiving process to unloading and receiving areas
