HR Manager & Business Partner

The HR Business Partner (HRBP) plays a dual role, combining strategic partnership with business leaders and hands-on HR operations. In this role you are responsible for aligning HR initiatives with business objectives while managing core HR functions, such as employee relations, performance management, recruitment, onboarding, and compliance.

In this role you will be part of a 3 person HR Team, reporting to the Head of HR in Michigan, supporting 200 team members/managers on-site at four facilities located in Shelby Township, Westland, Waterford and Romulus. We offer mileage reimbursement at standard IRS rates in addition to a work schedule to accommodate travel/commute time.

Key Responsibilities:

– Strategic HR Partnership
Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders, understanding business goals and aligning HR strategies to support overall organizational success.
– Employee Relations
Serve as a point of contact for employees, addressing concerns and resolving workplace issues to ensure a positive and productive work environment.
– Performance Management
Oversee the performance appraisal process, coach managers on giving feedback, and ensure that individual and team performance aligns with organizational goals.
– Recruitment & Onboarding
Support recruitment efforts by partnering with internal Talent Acquisition team. Facilitate smooth onboarding for new hires, ensuring they integrate well into the company culture.
– HR Policy Development & Compliance
Ensure company policies are compliant with legal regulations and industry best practices. Educate employees and managers on HR policies and procedures.
– Training & Development
Identify skill gaps and recommend training programs to enhance employee development and engagement.
– Compensation & Benefits
Support compensation strategy and ensure that benefits programs are communicated effectively and understood by employees.
– HR Metrics & Reporting
Collect and analyze HR data to provide insights on workforce trends and recommend improvements in HR practices.
