Director of Manufacturing Engineering
PENN Automotive Inc
– Manage day to day of manufacturing engineering department including the (3) manufacturing departments, facilities and maintenance to successfully achieve the goals and objectives of the corporation.
– Ensure production is adequately being supported with manufacturing engineering technical resources.
– Drive accountability within Manufacturing Engineering group to ensure tasks, projects, and processes are timely and sufficient.
– Facilitate interdepartmental communication within all facets of the business.
– Responsible for Engineerings adherence and support of IATF-16949 certification, ISO-9001 and support ISO-14001 requirements.
– Support new customers and new product onboarding, APQP, and feasibility analyses.
– Participate in daily GEMBA walks and provide support for all engineering issues in the facility.
– Ensure compliance with all corporate procedures.
– Develop departmental budgets and perform all duties within the boundaries set by the approved budgets.
– Develop, maintain, and oversee the use of engineering design standards for process / technology platforms (including BOMs, routers, material specs, ECNs, drawings).
– Lead and enables an employee engaged safety culture.
Project Management:
– Work with management team to identify business opportunities that can be turned into actionable projects.
– Define project requirements, establish priorities, and manage expectations with Engineering staff.
– Oversee and manage project pipeline and track teams progress to ensure companys goals and objectives are being met.
Financial Leadership:
– Lead strategic capital process including 5-year vision and plan, current year progress tracking, new capital creation and execution.
– Aggressively investigate new techniques, materials, and sources in a constant effort to reduce costs.
People Development:
– Hiring, Training, Development, and movement of Engineer Staff across Profil N.A. team.
– Develop cross-functional engineering team members capable of fully supporting each business unit.
– Coach and mentor engineers within the business to continually expand their skillsets, responsibilities, and competencies.
– Develop short- and long-range operating objectives, organizational structure, staffing requirements and succession plans.
