Credit Analyst I

SUMMARY - Under direct supervision, spreads and analyzes financial statements and contacts various credit sources and references for information on loan applicants for officer level lending authority.  Assists in the preparation of loan packages for the loan administration officer or a loan committee.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

– Spreads and analyzes customer financial statements.
– Prepares collateral valuations based on current values.
– Gathers credit information for preparation of loan presentations.
– Works closely with Credit Analyst IIs and Senior Credit Analyst.
– Aids in preparation of loan presentations and approvals.
– Member of officer loan committee.
– Participates in ongoing training.
– Calculates financial ratios.
– Assists with monitoring problem loans and verification of collateral.
– Conducts annual file review to update cash flow analysis and collateral valuations.
– Files notes.
– Performs other duties as assigned within the loan department.
