Job Description

We are currently seeking Maintenance Mechanics for our manufacturing/bottling facility to maintain, fix, and improve equipment used in bottling and packaging operations

Schedule: Rotating 2/2/3 D shift

Shift: 12 hours, 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM

Pay Rate: $36.31 / hour

Shift Differential: 6 – 8 % of base hourly rate paid for applicable hours worked.

Performs routine preventative and corrective maintenance and testing on equipment Perform maintenance tasks to include – repairing and improving, from minor rebuilds to major overhauls on all equipment.

Identify processing waste reduction opportunities and assist in reduction projects.

Participate in preventative maintenance program to help reduce costs of operations through PM optimization.

Dismantles, cleans, repairs and tests electrical, electronic and mechanical components to determine component-level failure

Support equipment installations, retrofits and upgrades to include vendors and contractors

Communicate, coach and train employees to continuously improve team’s ability to respond to equipment failures and loss of production.

Actively support continuous improvement projects and debriefs or shift handoffs

Maintains preventative maintenance logs and accurate records of all testing and repairs

Recommends equipment to be included in preventive maintenance programs. Perform Preventative Maintenance task to identify all potential mechanical and electrical issues with equipment throughout the plant. Rebuild worn-out, but reusable, pieces of equipment, such as gearboxes for scheduled PM’s.

Provide technical support to operators in team resolution process

Complete repairs to equipment as necessary

Communicate with production lines about machine down time and identified issues

Assist with break coverage and machine operation as needed or as assigned by shift resource; this will be a member of the operations group and as such the expectation is that this role needs to be able to support all machine centers as needed

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience:

Demonstrated Safe work habits

Solid background in all aspects of mechanical maintenance

Reading and use of blueprints and technical manuals

Preventive maintenance, mechanical and electrical repair, troubleshooting using a data driven systematic approach, rebuilding equipment, lifting, rigging, lubrication.

Using hand and specialty tools

Understanding and use of precision measurement

Must be proficient with TPM and the principles of AM and PM

Candidates must be flexible to support Business needs, able to work holidays, weekends, and overtime; and to be able to work (On Call) in emergency situations

Demonstrated track record of responsibility, maturity, sound judgment, and reliable attendance

Demonstrated team work

Motivated self -starter, self -learner with the ability to work in a team and/or independent environment.

Able to work unsupervised

Computer skills and ability to utilize SAP work order system. Ordering parts and supplies
