Innovate Marquette is hiring a Finance and Data Manager!

Innovate Marquette Enterprise Corporation, doing business as (dba), Innovate Marquette (IMQT) is a private nonprofit 501(c)3. It exists as a service provider to the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) to transform our community into a thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem, complete with the necessary resources, technology, capital, and array of opportunities to support local tech-enabled startups, new business ventures, and existing businesses. Additionally, IMQT works to attract and retain scalable technology companies and startups to the Marquette area in order to create higher-paying jobs and increased opportunities for the community as a whole.

Responsibilities:

– Develop, improve, and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure sound fiscal management.
– Assist in preparing grant proposals, specifically, budgets and budget narratives.
– Ensure accuracy and integrity in data management systems and analyze data to support decision-making and improve organizational efficiency.

Qualifications:

– Associate or bachelors degree (Business, Accounting, or similar preferred).
– 3-5 years of experience in Financial Operations or Accounting.
– 1-3 years of grant management.
– 2 years of experience working within a non-profit.
– Proficient with QuickBooks online, Microsoft 365, Google Suite, and other office software and able to learn and adopt new technologies.
– Experience in the entrepreneurial, startup, or innovation ecosystem.
