Child Support Associate

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Kenosha County Child Support Services offers a unique
opportunity for those who desire a challenging and rewarding career

county residents. A Child Support Associate performs first-level
administrative support in Child Support Services in the Division of

Investigate referrals from Economic Support Programs and the Department
of Children and Family Services and communicate with those staff to
coordinate system updates Process child support service applications
Investigate, initiate, resolve, and/or redirect referrals to Child
Support Specialists Build new cases with proper case composition and
research systems to identify accurate demographic information Thoroughly
research participant identification numbers to avoid creating duplicates
Respond to email requests for case updates Investigate cases and other
matters; interview persons to obtain information; monitor the status of
cases to ensure appropriate action is taken in a timely manner Perform
locate efforts for non-custodial parents utilizing various locate tools
and locate databases Work monthly error reports and resolve errors
Process Voluntary Paternity Acknowledgement forms and submit to State
Vital Records Arrange for payments to be processed and mailed to the
Wisconsin Support Collections Trust Fund (WI SCTF) Maintain accurate
tracking of daily work activities and task-related logs Review and
update files after court and begin processing orders issued by the court
Respond to client calls and voicemail messages Process both incoming and
outgoing intergovernmental cases File documents with the court or
process notifications through the wiKIDS/CCAP efiling interface Process
Change of Venue requests to and from other counties Perform other work
as required or assigned, including scanning documents to create
electronic files; opening, sorting, and distributing mail for Child
Support Services and staff; assisting Child Support Attorneys in court;

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Qualifications Knowledge of: Kids
Information Data System (KIDS), wiKIDS, Child Support Online Services
(CSOS), Control-D, CARES/Cares Worker Web (CWW) and Circuit Court Access
(CCAP), or the ability to obtain required knowledge within six months of
employment Legal terminology, legal documents, and legal writing
proficiency Documents and information needed for court proceedings, as
well as court automation programs Skill in: Critical thinking and
problem solving Time management and prioritization Attention to detail
Entering alphanumeric data into multiple entry systems Interpreting and
applying complex laws, regulations, and rules Performing a variety of
duties, often changing from one task to another of a different nature
Handling multiple procedural processes simultaneously Providing quality
and timely service to customers Using office equipment, including
computer, calculator, scanner, phone, and fax machine Microsoft Word,
Excel, Outlook, Teams, and Adobe Acrobat Professional Ability to: Work
with electronic and paper files Gather, organize, and evaluate data Meet
schedules and deadlines Follow oral and written instructions Communicate
effectively, both orally and in writing Supportively train, mentor, and
assist teammates and department staff Work in multiple computer systems
and databases Adhere to strict confidentiality and computer security
guidelines Work respectfully in a diverse and inclusive environment
