Description The SST Technician I shall assist other SST Laboratory
personnel in general lab duties. The SST Technician I shall be
responsible for ensuring quality and accurate data in a timely fashion.
Responsibilities and Duties General: Work cooperatively. Communicate
effectively. Clean equipment and area. General laboratory maintenance.
Sample preparation. Sample planting and preparation for planting. Sample
evaluation. TZ Test preparation. Data entry. Specific: Responsible for
knowing daily goals and meeting those goals for the day. Performs tasks
as defined by professional staff. Communicate sample issues effectively
to SST Associate Scientists and SST Lab Supervisors. Communicate
personnel issues effectively to SST Manager Scientific. Qualifications
Education/Experience: HS degree recommended. Skills: Attention to
detail, ability to maintain focus, mental addition and subtraction,
computer operation including email and LIMS. Additional Information
Schedule: Monday – Friday (8 – 4:30); Weekends and Early Morning/Late
