Painter Prep

JOB REQUIREMENTS: As an Industrial Paint Preparer, you will play a
critical role in ensuring high-quality finishes on a variety of
industrial products and surfaces. Your primary responsibilities will
include preparing surfaces for priming, painting, and ensuring the
proper adhesion of topcoat paints. You will work closely with painters
and other team members to meet project specifications and deadlines
while adhering to safety and quality standards. RESPONSIBILITIES
-Prepare products for blast, prime or paint, etc. -Blow off sand or
debris -Tape or plug areas that do not require blast, prime or paint
-Transport to proper locations and set up in bay -Take product down
-Look over and touch up light or missed areas -Place parts on pallet
-Wrap or band product for shipment -Load and unload racks of parts for
cleaning and spraying. -Mask parts prior to paint. -Inspect and wrap
painted parts. -Light assembly using common hand tools and clinch
hardware press. -Other duties as assigned. OTHER EXPERIENCE
AND QUALIFICATIONS: -High school diploma or equivalent -Must have basic
measuring skills -Willingness to learn and adapt to different processes
-Experience in a manufacturing or production environment including basic
knowledge of work order routers (travelers). -Ability to interpret
blueprints and engineering drawings -Able to lift 50 lbs. -Good verbal
and written communications skills -Must be punctual and reliable
PHYSICAL DEMANDS -Periodic lifting and carrying objects over 50 pounds.
-Reaching above and below shoulder level. -Extended periods of sitting,
kneeling, bending at the waist, squatting and stooping to complete or
inspect repairs. -Manual dexterity and eye/hand coordination to operate
equipment. -May be exposed to repetitive tasks involving hand and arm
motion. -May be required to inspect vehicles outdoors in inclement
weather. -Visual acuity for color matching. -May be exposed to fumes,
chemicals, high levels of dust and noise in repair center. Must be able
to wear protective equipment, including respirator.
