Division Description:

ITW Electronics Assembly Equipment (EAE) Division is made up of five brands strongly recognized by Contract Manufacturers and OEMs in the Electronics and Industrial Markets. The Division designs, develops, manufactures, and markets capital equipment primarily used in the assembly process of Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) and other industrial applications.

The Operations Supervisor is responsible for, scheduling and preparing production work order details; correlate planning and scheduling with machine orders and upgrades; issue requests for new and special materials; revise and reschedule orders when necessary; collaborate with purchasing, engineering, service group, and production to coordinate schedules; maintain files and records as required. Supervise and support a union workforce of approximately 35 employees. Help drive continuous improvement and meet operational KPI’s.

Creates and maintains work order for ovens and upgrades.

Works with engineering to coordinate ECO implementations and changes to materials.

Coordinates with the materials team to continually improve the integrity of the ERP system from both a data and process perspective.

Proactively identify areas of potential supply concerns, keeping in mind capacity constraints, shortages and communicates analysis/recommendations to all parties impacted.

Analyzes production problems as they arise, and works closely with Procurement, Engineering and Production to track and resolve the issue.

Demonstrates good judgement in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions related to material planning and production scheduling.

Reviews and becomes familiar with all specifications, procedures, routings, bills of material, and other manufacturing documents.

Performs scheduling functions involved with managing work orders, coordinating products and materials movement through the manufacturing processes to completion and on time shipment.

Coordinates the efficient expediting of materials and work in process with purchasing, planning, production, and engineering.

Analyzes demand and supply at the component, customer order, and production schedule levels, determines out of balance conditions, identifies alternatives, and recommends actions for approval.

Understand ITW Toolbox and ensure shop floor employees are onboarded in the toolbox.

Setting and managing employee performance expectations.

Understand and identify root Cause affecting operational metrics.

Identify and lead continuous improvement activities on the shop floor.

Supervise a Union workforce.

Bachelor’s degree in operations management, business administration, or related field preferred.

Minimum of 4 years’ professional experience in operations, production planning and supervision.

Skills required:

ISO Audit Certification and compliance experience.

Strong leadership qualities including initiative, influence, communications, training, coaching, and mentoring.

Demonstrated project management skills and experience working with union personnel, sub-contractors, Local and State officials.

Ability to support and drive meaningful metrics that measure progress.

Must have strong written and verbal communication skills, and project management skills.

Experience in Production Planning and Supervisory skills in a manufacturing setting.

Physical requirements and working conditions:

Normal working conditions standing, walking, sitting, and occasional operation and work on company equipment/products. 50% sitting, 30% standing, 5% bending, 10% walking, 5% lifting.
