Laser Technician III

Job Description

As a laser technician on our team, you will play a crucial role in the exploratory development and eventual commercialization of various projects. Beyond providing essential PD support, you will be directly involved in prototyping and exploratory efforts, transforming concepts into reality with the backing of a technically proficient, experienced, and highly motivated team.

Establish and troubleshoot laser motion or toolpath to enable laser cut processes.

Identify and resolve process, material, or equipment issues.

Modify existing and develop new tooling and fixtures.

Revise documents, processes, and methods to enhance efficiency.

Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to procure and install tooling, fixtures, and equipment.

Partner with engineers on continuous improvement projects.

Train and provide technical support or guidance to product builders and other technicians.

Write and execute validation protocols and technical reports.

This candidate needs at least 5 years of professional experience. We can pay between $36.15 – 41.67 per hour

Skills and Requirements

CAD-CAM 5-axis programming or equivalent experience.

CAD experience (Solidworks, preferred).

Experience with laser cutting systems and the associated tooling needs for given machines.

Opto-mechanical system experience (laser alignment, focus). Associates degree null
