Fairview Range is hiring a Lab Technical Specialist for our Laboratory Department in Hibbing, MN .
As a Lab Technical Specialist, you will assume responsibility for a specific functional laboratory section with an emphasis on quality, and department regulations. Ensuring that all section procedures are performed as defined and according to generally acceptable scientific and regulatory standards to provide quality services.
Schedule: This position will work 80 hours per two weeks. The shift length will be 8 hours on the day shift. Weekends: Every other weekend

As a Lab Technical Specialist, you are responsible for:
Assuming responsibility for the technical operations of the lab or lab section.
Participating in planning and financial management for the lab or lab section.
Evaluating testing results for accuracy and appropriate intervention.
Coordinating laboratory activities in Laboratory Quality Assurance, Performance Improvement, and Laboratory Compliance Programs.
Orienting and mentoring new employees and students.
Required Qualifications
Three years of laboratory experience in a highly complex laboratory.
Bachelor’s degree in clinical laboratory science/medical technology/ medical laboratory science, Chemistry or Biology and a related laboratory practicum.
Must possess certification as a CLS/MT/MLS by ASCP or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
Supervisory experience preferred.
