Livestock Workers/Ranch Hands

Need 1 full time, temporary, seasonal Livestock Workers/Ranch Hands to work in Angus, MN. From: 12/15/2024 to 4/15/2025 Work: 40 hrs./week, Mon.-Fri. 8 hrs./day All hours worked in excess of 48 hours in a work week will be paid at the rate of time and a half. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience. Effective Jan 1, 2024, per MN State Statute, an employee will earn one hour of paid sick and safe time for every 30 hours worked, up to at least 48 hours of accrued Earned Sick and Safe Time (ESST) per year, provided the employee works a minimum of 80 hours in a calendar year. Must Apply By: 02/14/2025 NOTE: JOB DUTIES: Feeding, watering and caring for cattle. Maintain heated watering equipment, Herding cattle to winter lots, Feeding and caring for cattle. Herding cattle to winter lots. Maintaining heated watering equipment. Assist in basic animal health procedures and assist in births. Haul hay from fields to winter lots, maintain fencing and snow removal equipment, and snow removal. Position will require exposure to extreme temperatures, and extensive pushing and pulling. Work-related tools, equipment and supplies provided by the employer. Employer may reward exceptional work with monetary or other benefits in addition to those listed here in his sole discretion. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Minimum of 1 month of experience is required. Class D license or must be able to obtain a drivers license (Class D) within 30 days of hire. Lift and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs. No HS Diploma or GED required. EMPLOYER ASSURANCES: Work guaranteed for 3/4 of contract period, starting with date of arrival at work site. Employer provides free housing for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Employer pays inbound transportation and subsistence to work site upon 50% completion of work contract for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $15.88 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts.
