About the Role
The Rural Growth Coordinator will be responsible for providing technical assistance to rural communities throughout southwest North Dakota, including grant writing, research, administration, strategic planning, and supporting the regional food program. You will work closely with community leaders and partners to assist with securing and managing grants, developing growth strategies, and building strong relationships to promote regional development. This full-time role offers the chance to lead transformative projects and inspire growth across rural communities.

Heres what youll do day-to-day
Assist rural communities in researching, writing, and submitting grant proposals to secure funding for local and regional initiatives.
Provide technical assistance to rural communities, non-profits, and local governments to address development challenges and improve infrastructure.
Support strategic planning and help develop programs aimed at improving rural economies, infrastructure, and community services.
Collaborate with team members and community partners to deliver creative solutions and bring large projects to fruition.
Assist in the administration and oversight of the regional food program, ensuring compliance with regulations and reporting requirements.
Build and maintain strong relationships with community leaders and represent RCRC in regional meetings and forums.

Heres what were looking for

A Bachelors Degree is preferred, but candidates with equivalent work experience are encouraged to apply.
Familiarity with rural community challenges and opportunities is highly valued.
Strong writing and communication skills with the ability to research, problem-solve, and work independently.
Ability to prioritize demanding projects and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
Willingness to travel as needed, with some evening and overnight meetings required.
