Job Description

While reporting to the Plant Engineer or Maintenance Supervisor, the Electro Mechanic performs maintenance tasks, specifically proactive tasks, necessary to provide high-quality, efficient, timely shipment of products. Safety, quality, productivity, and strong work ethic are important. Responsibilities include understanding and following plant safety rules including LOTO and safe machine operation, reading and interpreting electrical blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, specifications, and technical data, and working on motors, contractors, relays, and advanced shop equipment. The technician must be capable of working on chillers, process pumps, compressors, ink pumps, and glue pumps, analyzing and resolving all mechanical and electrical issues, demonstrating solid knowledge of electrical controls/PLCs, and maintaining all manufacturing process equipment. Duties also include diagnosing root causes of problems with production equipment, documenting parts used and repairs completed in the CMMS, and participating in Performance System activities. Regular, consistent attendance and punctuality are required. Personal Protective Equipment must be used where required.

Hard Skills

Reading and interpreting electrical blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, specifications, and technical data

Working on motors, contractors, and relays with a multimeter

Working on advanced shop equipment such as bandsaws, mills, and lathes

Maintenance of chillers, process pumps, compressors, ink pumps, and glue pumps

Troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems including PLCs

Performing preventative, predictive maintenance, routine repairs, and calibration

Diagnosing and resolving mechanical and electrical issues

Documenting parts and repairs in CMMS
