Job Title: Set Up Technician
We are seeking a Set Up Technician responsible for machine set-up and operation to meet product requirements, troubleshooting equipment and packaging issues. These technicians will also perform quality checks, document issues, and conduct basic repairs. While machines are operating after set-up, they will conduct trial runs, monitor machine workflow, and pack finished goods to assist the IOs.
Candidates will work alongside the Maintenance team, troubleshooting converting machines until escalation to Maintenance is necessary. They will perform PMs on auxiliary equipment to ensure all machines run smoothly. Responsibilities also include covering for operators during bathroom breaks or cleaning tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
Machine set-up and operation
Troubleshooting equipment and packaging issues
Performing quality checks
Documenting issues and repairs
Conducting trial runs
Performing PMs on auxiliary equipment
Required Skills & Qualifications:
1-2 years of machine set-up or PM tech experience
1 year of experience with hand tools and basic mechanical repairs
1 year of product inspection experience
Machine troubleshooting and basic repair experience
Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, twisting, and standing all day
Ability to read a ruler up to 1/32 of an inch
1 year of documentation experience (quality issue reporting, downtime, repairs)
Preferred Qualifications:
2 years of set-up/PM experience on converting, slitter, or extrusion equipment (FMC or CMD brand)
Bag/pouch production experience
Experience within a packaging environment
Experience assisting maintenance team with machine breakdowns or repairs

Work Environment:
GMP environment requiring gowning up, hair net/beard net, shoe covers, safety glasses, and sometimes gloves
Temperature-controlled, large facility with updated amenities
Business Challenge:
These positions are open due to the growth of the pouch and bag line, with new machines/lines being installed in the next few months. Technicians are needed to train and be ready for the new equipment.

Salary:
$20.00 – $24.00 per hour
5% bonus
Shifts Available:
1x 12-hour day shift, 6 AM – 6 PM
2x 12-hour night shifts, 6 PM – 6 AM
1x 8-hour M-F shift, 6 AM – 2:30 PM with some OT
