Job Title: Deco Technician
Job Description
The Deco Technician is responsible for set-up, printing processes, and preventive maintenance of machinery and equipment. You will set up CNC servo printers, operate CNC OMSO servo and NOVAX M, prepare screens for artwork, and set up each SKU on machinery. You will troubleshoot and perform maintenance on department machinery and equipment to ensure that quality silkscreened products are consistent.
Key responsibilities include:
– Troubleshooting all aspects of bottle print quality and handling problems, such as adjusting distribution, wheel speeds, and equipment timing.
– Performing screen changes without assistance or supervision, including making screens, washing all screen parts, applying coating, heating, exposing with artwork, washing again, drying, coating with approved products, and final drying.
– Starting up and shutting down lines, including purging out materials.
– Lubricating, inspecting, and recording conditions of wear and tear.
– Performing all mechanical and processing aspects of line set-up and start-up, such as setting print chuck, print height, pin height, positioning chuck, verifying tooling against specifications, measuring, inspecting tooling, programming vision systems, and setting downstream equipment.
– Reading and interpreting bottle specification sheets and all quality data sheets.

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).
Work Site
This is a fully on-site position in Addison, Illinois.
Work Environment
This location performs plastic extrusion for various foods and consumer products, primarily producing shampoo, lotion, and cleaning solution bottles of various sizes and colors. The facility is 90,000 square feet with 15 extrusion lines and 2 labeling lines, utilizing mostly mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic-driven machines.
