Job Title: Maintenance Lead

Job Description

This position is for full-time Maintenance Technician Lead for either 2nd or 3rd shift. Compensation is fully dependent on experience and can be discussed during the in-person interview, if selected for one. This role involves performing all the duties of a Maintenance Technician while also leading other Maintenance Technicians on the shift.

Responsibilities include:

– Lead and supervise the maintenance team on the assigned shift

– Ensure all maintenance tasks are logged and tracked within the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)

– Oversee the progress of work orders and ensure all Maintenance Technicians on the shift complete them timely

– Troubleshoot minor electrical problems (blown fuses, shorts, etc.)

– Detect unusual sounds from machines indicating malfunctions

– Install piping systems in PVC, stainless steel, and/or iron pipe

– Install machinery and equipment according to specifications

– Repair and maintain centrifugal and pneumatic pumps

– Weld metal parts with either TIG or arc

– Fabricate or modify equipment using hand tools, such as saws, drills, and grinders

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Addison, Illinois.

Work Environment

The company is organized into several departments with over 100 pieces of machinery, including dip spin (5 lines), heat treat line, furnace department, sorting department (15 lines/machines), quality department, water sanitation department, shipping/receiving, and paint department. The dip spin process uses various chemicals and acids, creating an ammonia type smell on the floor. None of the chemicals are harmful, but they are noticeable, so candidates must be informed ahead of time.
