Job Description
Join a company that produces at-home testing kits. As a Lab Assistant, you will handle urine, blood, and fecal samples, so you must be comfortable working with all three. Your responsibilities will include opening and sorting samples, collecting samples, inputting information into the Laboratory Information System (LIS), verifying patient information, and preparing samples for the technicians.
You will receive and quarantine all specimen packages, check specimens for acceptance criteria, and code non-testable specimens. Additionally, you will assist in strip manufacturing duties, including cutting and preparing strips for coating, and handle the logging of laboratory supplies. Manual entry and verification of laboratory results will also be part of your tasks. Notify your supervisor of any deviations from documented procedures.
Training for this role will be from 8 am to 5 pm. Once trained, you will work the second shift from 3 pm to 11:30 pm, with work weeks either from Tuesday to Saturday or Sunday to Thursday.

Work Environment
Office building with a call center, laboratory, and clerical center. Dress code includes long pants, T-shirt, and closed-toed shoes. Lab coats will be worn when handling specimens.
