Job Title: Lab Assistant
Job Description
This role requires handling urine, blood, and fecal samples, so candidates must be comfortable working with all three. Lab Assistants will open and sort samples, collect samples, input information into the laboratory information system (LIS), verify patient information, cut and coat kit samples, label and prep samples for the technicians, and enter data into the system once testing is complete. Responsibilities include receiving and quarantining specimen packages, checking specimens for acceptance criteria, separating and coding non-testable specimens, assisting in strip manufacturing duties, receiving and logging laboratory supplies, manually entering and verifying laboratory results, and notifying supervisors of any deviations from procedures.

This is a fully on-site position
Work Environment
Shift: 2nd shift starting at 12pm to 8:30pm. Required to work Tuesday – Saturday during busy weeks.
Initial training will be Monday to Friday from 8 am – 5 pm, transitioning to Tuesday-Saturday 12 pm – 8:30 pm when volumes increase.
Environment: Office building with a call center, laboratory, and clerical center.
Dress Attire: Long pants, T-shirt, closed-toed shoes, and lab coats when handling specimens.
