We are searching for a Mechanical Engineer in East St Louis, IL to work for a chemical manufacturing company. Candidates should have a BS in Mechanical Engineering and 5 years of hands on experience with manufacturing equipment and processes.

This role could start as either a temp-to-hire or a direct-hire/permanent role depending on the candidate.

responsibilities:

Develop project plans to include design, resources required, timelines, budgets and scope of project. Is responsible for the successful and timely execution of the project.

Develop, improve, support and troubleshoot specific manufacturing equipment and systems.

Support maintenance activities on a daily basis by providing technical support to production.

Support plant wide downtime goals by developing and implementing improvements.

Negotiate maintenance or service/supply agreements in support of specific equipment or systems.

Support production through development of improvements to equipment, systems or processes that increase productivity, safety or product quality.
