You will manage employee performance, ensure adherence to responsibilities, and contribute to successful program operations. You may also have the opportunity to provide clinical supervision to individuals in training, pending approval from the Burrell Licensure Committee, with potential for additional income.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership and Team Management:

Supervise and lead the Outpatient Services team to meet departmental and individual goals.

Coach, mentor, motivate, and train team members, and communicate the department’s vision.

Foster a positive team culture that prioritizes wellbeing, trust, and collaboration.

Celebrate successes, resolve conflicts, and identify growth opportunities within the team.

Employee Development and Performance Management:

Assist with onboarding new hires and coordinate annual performance reviews.

Lead team meetings, hold individual meetings, and ensure direct reports meet training and attendance requirements.

Distribute and monitor performance data, ensuring department goals are met.

Set and document performance improvement goals as necessary.

Clinical Responsibilities:

Ensure client documentation is accurate, meets best practices, and is submitted within department timelines.

Maintain knowledge of Burrell programs, including admission criteria and referral processes.

Provide or coordinate comprehensive follow-up plans for clients from initial assessments.

Participate in or coordinate emergency services for crisis intervention.

Stay informed on community resources and help clients access services beyond Burrell’s offerings.

Quality Improvement and Compliance:

Participate in peer review staffing, department meetings, and leadership activities per Burrell guidelines.

Contribute to staff development activities at Burrell.

Respond promptly to all Quality Assurance, Compliance, and Revenue Cycle procedures.

Cooperate with utilization review processes and adhere to established procedures, policies, and regulations.

Education and/or Experience Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or related field required.

Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in the field.

Missouri state license required as a Licensed Psychologist (LP), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Marital and Family Therapist (LMFT).

Leadership and/or supervision experience preferred.

Required License/Certification:

Missouri state licensure as an LP, LPC, LCSW, or LMFT.

Additional Qualifications:

Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and inspire a diverse team.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Knowledge of mental health services, community resources, and crisis intervention techniques.

Ability to manage documentation and maintain compliance with regulatory standards.

Supervisory Requirements:

Provide leadership and direction to the Outpatient Services team.

Facilitate performance management and ongoing employee development.

Actively participate in setting team goals and ensuring compliance with organizational standards.

Promote a team-oriented approach, providing guidance and input at all levels.
