Position Summary

A motivated team-oriented person whose primary duties include pulling orders and loading product for shipping and counting product in inventory for verification if enough product has been produced for shipping.

Duties and Responsibilities

– Drive an industrial forklift according to standard operating procedure
– Supply finished material to conversion area for special orders
– Pull orders for shipping
– Load trailers with correct product
– Comply with all safety measures before loading a truck (i.e., making sure wheel are chocked before loading )
– Count finished product to verify inventory
– Work safely to prevent on-the-job injuries by following Buckhorn policies and OSHA Standards
– Know proper procedures to follow in case of emergency, such as potential personal injury, water, or gas leak, and/or power failure

Education and Experience

– High school diploma or general education degree (GED); required
– Forklift certification: required or must obtain if selected for position and dont have
– One to three years related experience and/or training; preferred
– Warehouse, forklift, and/or shipping experience; preferred
– Computer proficiency (Word and Excel); preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

– Ability to read and interpret documents, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
– Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
– Ability to speak effectively with coworkers and supervision.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

– Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
– Ability to do two mathematical operations to arrive at the solution.

REASONING ABILITY:

– Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
– Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
