Farm Equipment Mechanic
Diagnose, adjust, repair, or overhaul farm machinery and vehicles, such as tractors, harvesters, farmequipment, and irrigation systems. With minimal supervision, and oftentimes working independently,complete service and repair tasks ranging from the basic to complex, including but not limited to:
– Hydraulic and electrical troubleshooting, with mechanic and automotive skills
– Hydraulic and electrical troubleshooting, with mechanic and automotive skills
– Rebuild planters, drills, tillage tools
– Seeding
– Spray and mow around fields
– Calibrate planters
– Replace electrical and hydraulic components
– Stone removal repairs
– Evaluate repairs and damage
– Rebuild and remounting equipment
– Perform diagnostics and structural repairs on critical component
Requirements
– No minimum education; 24 months farming experience with repair of farm equipment. Must be able to –
– Stand up to 9 hours per day
– Lift a maximum weight of 100 pounds
– Bend, stoop, work on high and low levels, in confined spaces, on your knees, on your back and
other potentially awkward positions throughout the business day
– Actively participate in any additional training required
