This vacancy is located in the Acadia Parish Economic Stability Office in Crowley, Louisiana.

This position may be filled as a probational appointment or a job appointment that may last up to 48 months. Job appointments may convert to probational appointments. Also, it may be filled as a detail and promoted within 12 months.

This position participates in a Career Progression Group (CPG) and may be filled as an Administrative Coordinator 1, 2, 3, or 4. The level at which the vacancy is filled will be determined by the qualifications of the candidate selected. This position provides the opportunity to advance within this job series.

The actual starting salary depends on the education and experience of the selected applicant.

To perform a variety of clerical duties that are routine in nature in support of the staff members and/or operations of an organizational unit or program.

Examples of Work

Answers multi-line telephone or switchboards, giving routine information and screening calls.

Greets visitors.

Receives, sorts, and distributes mail.

Collects and prepares for processing time and attendance sheets for department or office.

Performs routine filing of documents and maintains filing systems.

Copies and/or distributes correspondence, reports, and other documents.

Receives cash, checks, credit cards, vouchers, or departmental charges from customers and/or employees in payment for goods or services.

May operate various office equipment (such as copy machine, calculator) that requires no special knowledge or previous training.

May deliver and pick-up various materials.

Performs related duties as assigned.
