THE SALARY FOR THIS POSITION:

Quality Assurance Coordinator:(pay grade level SS-412) has a minimum salary of $18.38 hourly; $1,470.40 bi-weekly.

Note regarding the advertised pay range: The advertised maximum amount listed is the maximum salary a person can make while in this title/level over their career and not the maximum amount we are allowed to pay a new hire.

Minimum Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

A baccalaureate degree plus two years of professional experience in social services, nursing, or in health services.

SUBSTITUTION:

Six years of full-time work experience in any field will substitute for the required baccalaureate degree.

Candidates without a baccalaureate degree may combine work experience and college credit to substitute for the baccalaureate degree as follows:

A maximum of 120 semester hours may be combined with experience to substitute for the baccalaureate degree.

30 to 59 semester hours credit will substitute for one year of experience towards the baccalaureate degree.

60 to 89 semester hours credit will substitute for two years of experience towards the baccalaureate degree.

90 to 119 semester hours credit will substitute for three years of experience towards the baccalaureate degree.

120 or more semester hours credit will substitute for four years of experience towards the baccalaureate degree.

College credit earned without obtaining a baccalaureate degree will substitute for a maximum of four years full-time work experience towards the baccalaureate degree. Candidates with 120 or more semester hours of credit, but without a degree, must also have at least two years of full-time work experience to substitute for the baccalaureate degree.

NOTE: Any college hours or degree must be from an accredited college or university.

Differs from Quality Assurance Director by absence of administrative responsibility and line supervision over professionals and/or paraprofessionals.

Participates in planning, directing, implementing, and evaluating varied, complex, and multi-faceted quality assurance activities.

Participates in monitoring quality of patient care against established standards.

Participates in assessment of learning needs of staff relating to quality assurance activities.

Collects, categorizes, and analyzes quality assurance evaluation results.

Assists in development of quarterly reports.

Provides professional consultation relative to quality assurance to all professional staff.

Assesses clinical and administrative practices for efficiency, quality of service, and cost effectiveness.

Identifies, assesses, and monitors quality assurance and utilization review problems and recommends corrective action.

Conducts investigations of incidents affecting the delivery of services.

Reviews, updates and establishes policies and procedures to assure safe, effective, and consistent levels of care that are in compliance with federal, state, agency and professional standards.

Serves as facility liaison to State Office for evaluation procedures.

Provides consultation and assistance in program analysis.
