The Senior Product Specialists – Hose and Coupling (H&C) will play a critical role in leading Caterpillar’s effort to grow H&C Services with our dealers. This position will lead dealer engagements to communicate the corporate strategy, develop dealer-specific action plans, and support dealers in the action plan execution. The position will be responsible to achieve targeted H&C services growth. This position requires the ability to influence and drive change and execution with dealers.

What You Will Do:

Collaborate with H&C Marketing Consultant to lead growth workshops or business planning sessions with dealers – building long term strategic plans and short-term execution plans.

Influence and support dealers to adopt appropriate H&C Service solutions.

Coordinate with dealers to understand roadblocks and facilitate incremental support from the enterprise as needed.

Provide subject matter expertise on H&C product and service value, operational best practices, and tooling and inventory consultation.

Provide on-site training as needed.

Document dealer successful practices and support promotion and sharing of success to foster the broader initiative.

Gain and share competitive and industry knowledge.

Gather voice of customer and dealer to better inform strategy development of the H&C Product Group and H&C Services organizations.

What You Will Have:

A track record of fostering strong customer relationships via delivery on commitments, open communication, and on-going feedback/improvement, and anticipating customer needs, focusing efforts to proactively meet needs and exceed customer expectations.

​Demonstrated experience engendering collaborative processes that lead to problem solving and the achievement of business goals

Experience in or supporting dealer or distribution organizations – sales, operations, product support, or distribution.

Experience with industrial hydraulics (construction, agriculture, manufacturing, etc.) design, sales, or product support

Top Candidates Will Also Have:

Experience with Hose & Couplings and associated services.

Ability to lead projects and drive results with high autonomy.

Experience with global organizations and a global customer base.

Experience in the development and commercialization of products or services.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including ability to interact with and influence all levels of an organization.

Knowledge of construction industry products, aftermarket, and dealer distribution network.

Preferred Work Location: Peoria, IL

Additional Work Locations: Cary, NC or Dallas, TX

Relocation assistance is not available for this position. Any relocation costs incurred would be the responsibility of the selected applicant.

Job requires frequent travel (up to 50%) for responsible coverage area of Cat dealers in the South, Midwestern and Eastern US.

Caterpillar operates in a hybrid work environment, requiring a minimum of 3 days per week of onsite, in office work.
