Infosys is seeking to hire a IBM IMS Administrator. Candidate will be a key player to help discover and define the problem statement, evaluates the solution options and makes recommendations. You will create detailed documentation and process artifacts and implement the deployment plan. You will also support knowledge transfer with the objective of providing value-adding consulting solutions that enable our clients to meet the changing needs of the global landscape.

Required Qualifications :
Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Richardson, TX or Tampa, FL or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel to project locations.
Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
At least 4 years of Information Technology experience.
At least 3 years of experience on IBM IMS administration.
Manage and perform physical database maintenance (including running of appropriate utilities, jobs, scripts).
Perform database reorganization to improve performance, reclaim space, etc.
Provide 24 x 7 on-call problem resolution DBMS support for production application databases .
Setup and retain use of DBMS system administration ID and privileges Manage database availability and resources, Manage database space.
Maintain database backup/disaster recovery solution according to Customer
Participate in incident reviews as required.
Execute physical database Changes in support of major database design Changes
Provide time estimates for database related tasks within project plans.
Review all database related Changes as per change management process.
Create DB2 jobs for Reorgs and Run Stats, Unload, Load, Image copy, Refresh etc.
Maintain and Replicate data from source to target Systems using IBM Info Sphere Data Replication for DB2.
Setup/Execute and monitor IMS/DB2 utilities such as REORG, IC, RUSTATS, LOAD/UNLOAD etc.
Perform database/application performance tuning, data transformation/mapping, backup, and recovery of application databases including design and development of disaster recovery procedures which ensure enterprise data consistency.

Preferred Qualifications:
Willing to work in production support and on-call rotation for support of systems outside of normal business hours including weekends.
Strong communication and Analytical skills.
Ability to work in team in diverse/ multiple stakeholder environment.
Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment.

The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face.
