Lodging Host Hotel Corp is looking for a Bank Reconciliation Clerk to join our team. You will assist hotel bookkeepers in monthly account reconciliations and maintain organized records for multiple properties. We expect you to be an energetic, goal-driven person with excellent communication skills. If you have experience in accounting, reconciliations, or bookkeeping, wed like to meet you.

Responsibilities

– Monitor all banking activities for multiple hotel properties in order to detect irregularities
– Investigate all transactions in order to prevent fraud and inaccuracies
– Gather documentation for the purpose of supporting all financial transactions
– Prepare monthly bank reconciliation reports regarding all cash and credit deposits to the banks
– Perform the reconciliation and verification of accounts for multiple properties by a monthly deadline
– Maintain contacts with the properties management
– Adhere to corporate standards and procedures in all reconciliation activities
– Improve personal skill set regarding software proficiency, financial analysis and data processing

Skills

– Attention to detail
– Goal-driven with ability to work under deadlines
– Good problem-solving skills
– Degree in Accounting would be an added advantage
– Knowledge of general accounting principles and workings of the banking systems
– Clear, professional communication skills, both verbally and in writing
– Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
– Effective time management
– Experience with accounting software M3 and credit card processors FISERV and American Express is helpful

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37 – 40 per week
