QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
Bachelors Degree.
Experience working with adults in a training or educational setting.
Training or Technical Skills: Basic computer skills with proficient knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
Preferred:
Texas Teaching Certificate.
Bilingual.
Prior experience teaching in adult education.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
The position will report to the Director of Adult Education and Literacy for job responsibilities and other College related activities as outlined in the Policies and Procedures Manual. Essential duties include but are not limited to the following:
Administer and evaluate student baseline and progress assessments;
Assist students in setting attainable goals;
Coordinate instruction with student goals and program goals;
Assist in the collection and timely reporting of student data into the TEAMS database;
Complete and maintain required student and staff records including Individual Training, Education, and Career Plans (ITEC), attendance records, and individual student folders;
Maintain confidentiality of student information and materials in accordance with FERPA regulations;
Recruit students to and retain students in the adult education program;
GED instruction using approved TWC Content Standards; and
Complete required Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) Professional Development training each year.
CONTRACT and SALARY:
$17.00 per hour, in addition to excellent employee benefits. Proof of identity and eligibility to work in the United States must be verified for the successful candidate.
