The GMS Industrial Supply and American Patriot Family of Companies is expanding! We are looking to grow our manufacturing and administrative teams as we prepare to move our current facility in Willow City, TX to Fredericksburg, TX. We are looking for hard-working, capable individuals with a variety of skills sets that are looking to join our team and grow with the company.

CRATING POSITION OVERVIEW:

As a crating specialist, you will be responsible for building crates according to detailed specifications to meet necessary shipping requirements to prepare products for transport to our vendors and customers. A successful crating specialist will work efficiently to complete kitting, assembly, and building crates according to the provided specifications to help meet our rigorous shipping schedule of products.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

– Create custom packing and crating in accordance with provided specifications
– Take measurements and create accurate cut lists
– Perform general duties associated with accepting/releasing freight
– Process outgoing product, including proper packaging, marking, and labeling
– Operate power saws, hand tools, and air driven equipment
– Support the companys mission of superior professionalism and excellent quality
– Assist the team with other duties or projects as needed

QUALIFICATIONS:

Punctuality

Fluent in English

Experience in packing and wood crating

Ability to operate a forklift and become forklift-certified

Valid Drivers License and a clean driving record

Willing to undergo a background check

Willing to work overtime, as necessary

Physical stamina (lifting, bending, able to work in extreme temperatures)
