Relocation Design Team Lead

Idaho National Laboratory is hiring a Relocation Design Team Lead to work in our Campus Development Office department. Our team works a 9×80 schedule located out of our Research and Education Campus with every other Friday off.

You will work with individual employees, managers, COOs, and senior leadership by evaluating space needs and compiling information to fulfill space requests, including coordination with other teams collaborating on relocation efforts. You will report directly to the manage of the Campus Development department.

Responsibilities Include:

Determine new office configuration requirements, ensuring they meet INL Space Standards, ADA, and other safety requirements.
Develop designs, drawings, cost estimates, and schedules for new space configurations or modifications to existing space.
Coordinate with customers and other services regarding schedules for execution of work.
Work closely with, and under the direction of, the Space Management Program Manager to ensure coordination with other program leads within the Infrastructure Planning Division, including Real Property Management, Leasing, and Campus Master Planning, and ensure larger relocation requests fit into overall real estate portfolio plans and requirements.
Develop solutions to a variety of problems based on policy or past practice for guidance.
Ensure configuration changes to space are conveyed to Drafting for updates to floor plans and iMap.
Complete and maintain qualifications and training specified for assigned tasks.
Lead oversight of all relocation design plans ensuring compliance with standards and consistency of instruction language and format.
Provide mentoring and guidance to junior staff and resolve any potential issues during relocation process.
Be the subject matter expert for furniture procurement and maintenance of furniture standards.

Minimum Requirements:

Level 3: Bachelors degree in a relevant field and 5 years of experience, or an advanced degree and 2 years of experience.
Level 4: Bachelors degree in a relevant field and 9 years of experience, or an advanced degree and 6 years of experience.
Knowledge in planning, assembly, and issuance of Relocation Teamwork control documents and maintenance documents.
Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
Experience reading floor plan drawings, taking size measurements of space, developing sketches/drawings for space layouts, and developing basic cost estimates.
This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy “L” clearance, which requires US Citizenship.

Job Information:

The pay range for this position is: Level 3 ($63,528 – $130,284) / Level 4 ($75,804 – $155,496). At Idaho National Laboratory compensation decisions are determined using factors such as education, relevant experience, and other credentials.

TDP: This is a testing designated position; you will be required to submit to a pre-employment drug screen and periodic drug testing throughout the term of your employment.
Multi-Level: This is a multi-level posting and you will be placed at the appropriate level dependent on depth and breadth of proven experience and skills.
