Description
The Surgical Tech will:
prepare for surgical procedures by collecting and checking supplies and instrument trays.
Scrub and set up sterile supplies and equipment for surgical procedures following departmental standards.
Maintain sterile field following standards for counts, medication, specimens, and safety precautions.
Assist in sterile processing area, as required.
Responsible for other related duties, as required
Incumbent may be required to travel between Community Ambulatory Surgery Center sites as needed based on staffing requirements
Full salary range: 35.71-47.10
Qualifications
Graduate of a recognized Surgical Technologist program or Certified Surgical Technologist with more than two years of experience, required.
Minimum 2 years of hospital or ambulatory perioperative experience, required.
BLS certificate, required.
Ability to move heavy objects, apply aseptic technique to use a variety of operating instruments and equipment.
Ability to handle equipment carefully and safely, and stand for a long period of time.
Ability to read, write, and speak the English language.
