Job Location: Hershey, PA Position Type: Hourly Sign-On Bonus: $4000 The Hershey Company West Hershey plant is a Union plant producing products such as White & Dark Paste, Kisses, Nuggets, Milk Bars, Almond Bars, Rolo & Syrup, in a high-speed complex environment. Pay: Starting Pay is $36.66/hour .75 cent per hour shift differential for working 2nd or 3rd shift OT Potential! $4000 Sign-On Bonus! Candidate Process: ·Qualified applicants will need to successfully complete a mechanical written and hands-on skills assessment. Those receiving a passing score on both the written and hands-on mechanical skills assessment will advance to an onsite interview with the hiring team. Summary: The West Hershey Plant of The Hershey Company has immediate openings for Industrial Mechanical Technicians to work in our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility. Primary duties of this position are mechanical troubleshooting and repair of production equipment. Responsibilities include mechanical installation, setup, and repair. Compensation is established on a skill-based pay system. Required background skills and minimum qualifications shall include: A minimum of three years experience in the industrial, military, or owner/operator trades environment The successful candidate must be able to effectively function in a fast-paced team environment High school diploma or G.E.D. Associates degree in related field or minimum of 3 years of hands on experience in a manufacturing environment of relevant military experience Must be at least 18 years of age Must be able to read, write, and speak English Must be flexible to work any shift Must be available to work weekends, holidays and overtime Must be authorized to work in the United States Basic computer skills Job related mechanical skills will be assessed Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) is preferred Experience with Safe Quality Food (SQF) practices is preferred Experience with Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) is preferred Experience with Continuous Improvement methodology is preferred Experience with SAP Maintenance module is preferred Physical Demands: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs Regularly required to work around operating equipment, confined spaces, stand, reach, stoop, crawl, walk, climb ladders and bend Working Conditions: Work will be performed within a manufacturing facility The use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required to include but not limited to safety toe shoes, ear plugs, safety glasses/goggles, bump caps, hair and beard nets, and gloves Wearing company issued uniforms is a requirement Assessment Requirements: To ensure the highest standards of maintenance proficiency, all applicants must successfully complete a maintenance-specific skills assessment.
