The Decision Support Analyst designs, developments, and implements reports, datasets, and dashboards supporting PFKs population health, quality improvement, and financial reporting work streams. The Decision Support Analysts communicates timely and accurate results to leaders, detects and investigates data anomalies, and uncovers patterns or trends that drive change.

Responsibilities
Gathers requirements to design, develop, implement, and support reports, dashboards, and other analytic solutions. Builds provider incentive reporting using HEDIS and other population health quality measures.
Analyzes healthcare utilization and expense trends.
Mines, analyzes, and visualizes large, complex datasets. Assists in testing of raw data from payors, as well as internal or external aggregated data sets.
Protects patient and provider confidentiality and data security by following policies, payor requirements, and regulatory requirements such as HIPAA.
Qualifications
Education Requirement:
Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and experience, required.
Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Health Information Management, Statistics, Finance, or Computer Science, preferred.
Skills:
Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to quickly learn and work with new tools.
Strong understanding of data concepts including an introductory level knowledge of SQL.
Attention to detail and ability to function independently with minimal oversight.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects with precision and in a timely manner.
Experience:
One year of academic or professional experience analyzing data, required.
Health care data background, preferred.
Exposure to creating dashboards in Power BI or Qlik, preferred.
Familiarity with hospital coding systems (including ICD, CPT, MSDRG, APRDRG) and medical terminology, preferred.
