Now Hiring for a Shipping Coordinator

Roseville, MN $69K – 2nd Shift

Job Description

As a Shipping Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring effective and efficient delivery of orders. You will review internal and third-party orders, assist in scheduling transportation, and coordinate with the local rail transfer company to minimize costs. Additionally, you will help schedule manpower to meet production needs, maintain production and shipping records, and support the Operations Manager during manpower shortages. Safety is a priority, and you will be a permanent member of the Safety Committee, conduct safety training, and assist in accident investigations. This role also involves providing direction to production employees and reporting directly to the Operations Manager.

Qualifications

1 year of manufacturing experience

Willingness to learn

Previous experience in shipping, logistics, or order fulfillment

Familiarity with warehouse operations and inventory management

Proficiency in using shipping software and warehouse management systems

Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel) for data entry and reporting

Work Site

The shift is 2nd shift: Monday to Thursday from 12:30 PM to 11:00 PM, with two 15-minute breaks and one 30-minute unpaid lunch.

Will train on 1st shift for up to one month.

Work Environment

This is a 90-day contract-to-union position in a very large, industrial warehouse. The environment is old school, and while the position is out of the elements, the building can be hot in the summer and cold in the winter due to constantly opening and closing doors. The first day includes safety training and paperwork. Steel toe boots with non-detachable metatarsal covers are required.
