Senior Unix Administrator / Systems Engineer, #808 Clearance: U.S. Citizenship is required. Public Trust clearance or ability to obtain. Summary Dev Technology Group is looking for a Senior Unix Engineer/Administrator who brings a range of skills to our government customer. You will collaborate with team members and stakeholders to help create and maintain solutions that meet client needs. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently as well as in coordination with other team members, cross-functionally. What youll be doing Perform duties that fall under the role of Unix administration, including but not limited to: Knowledge of best practices in data center operations. Ability to manage system certificates in support of security compliance. Ability to implement and adhere to best practices for change management, incident management, problem management, and security. Experience creating and maintaining Solaris and Unix file systems and maintaining user and application accounts. Experience working with security teams for an ATO and providing relevant documentation. Experience maintaining Solaris LDOM cluster and Unix systems. Ability to operate and maintain NetBackup systems. Ability to apply patch updates to remediate known vulnerabilities on Solaris and Unix systems. Competency and expertise with Unix, VMware, Unix Infrastructure, Solaris Demonstrable experience in Unix Server Support, designing, troubleshooting and storage implementation. Proven experience running Unix platforms along with OS clustering, partitioning, and virtualization. Experience in combined management, development, implementation, and maintenance of systems consisting of network hardware, server farms, Hitachi SANs, and tape drives. Ability to provide oversight for all other operating system, firmware, and hardware personnel supporting the system (Solaris, VMware, Cisco, F5 and Red Hat). Knowledge and experience in advanced maintenance techniques and failover plans Proven experience with load balancing techniques used in complex operational systems. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner. Ability to communicate technical information to nontechnical stakeholders and to make operationally critical decisions with excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. Experience working in an agile environment. Basic knowledge of network administration Preferred education, experience, and skills 10 years of related experience with a bachelors degree in computer science or related field. Equivalent experience in lieu of education acceptable Preferred certifications VMware vSphere VMware vCenter Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7, 8, 9 Solaris 11 SAFe 6 CompTIA Security Our estimated salary range for this position is $120,000-$180,000. This presented salary range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Offered salary is based on education, experience, geographic location, and possibly contractual requirements as appropriate to the role. Salary could fall outside of this range.
