LJB Engineering is a national, multi-disciplinary engineering consulting firm with five main business lines which include: Transportation, Water Resources, Geospatial and Site Design, Buildings Structure Design and Safety/Fall Protection Design/Installation. Our diverse expertise, client base, and geographies have enabled LJB to serve clients in all 50 U.S. states and several countries.
We are currently seeking a candidate to help us continue to grow our business through the role of Proposal Coordinator. Full time candidates are preferred and part-time (30 hrs./wk.) will be considered.
Pay: $58,000 – 86,000
PROPOSAL COORDINATOR ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Organizes, coordinates, and controls activities involved in support of sales strategies, including preparation of proposals, sales meetings, events and other document submittals.
Interacts with internal marketing staff, project managers and external teaming partners.
Primary job tasks include:
Telling the LJB story and project differentiation strategy through proposal documents.
Technical writing – completes and/or directs the completion of proposal documents, statements of qualifications, letters of interest, government forms and client questionnaires as required.
This work often involves composing or editing answers to technical, essay-type questions.
Participates in proposal strategy in support of sales professionals.
Maintains client database and all project data for proposal generation using firms CRM system (Deltek Vision or Vantagepoint)
Maintains personnel and internal qualification information for proposal generation.
Coordinates, assembles and prepares materials for client interviews and meetings in accordance with corporate branding program and desktop publishing guidelines.
This work requires some proficiency with basic graphic design and photo manipulation.
Provides general support for sales activities performed by sales staff, including coordination with other sales and marketing staff as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
PROPOSAL COORDINATOR ESSENTIAL CREDENTIALS:
Education:
Equivalent of bachelors degree in marketing, business communications, English or technical related field.
Qualifications:
5 years experience with a professional services firm. Previous experience with architecture, engineering or construction firm preferred.
High proficiency and experience with Microsoft Office and Adobe products, as well as basic knowledge and experience in graphic design, photo editing, desktop publishing, and complex databases required. An ideal candidate would also have advanced graphic design expertise and familiarity with Adobe InDesign.
Preference for 2 years experience with federal and state proposal forms including SF330 format.
