DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a talented Team Leader – Level IV to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for our Cummins Inc. facility in Plainfield, IN.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

Ensuring Safety : By promptly reporting hazards and incidents, and promoting a culture of safety, you will help maintain a safe working environment for everyone.

Quality Assurance : Through rigorous quality inspections and addressing non-conforming materials, you will ensure that the products meet high standards, reducing costs and exposures.

Efficient Coordination : By monitoring team performance and coordinating activities, you will help meet production specifications and schedules, optimizing volume, cost, and waste targets.

Training and Development : Ensuring that team members receive necessary training and mentoring will enhance their skills and contribute to continuous improvement.

Problem Solving : As the first responder to equipment faults and quality issues, your quick actions will minimize downtime and maintain production flow.

Communication : Effective communication with your team and other departments will ensure smooth operations and timely resolution of issues.

Compliance: Adhering to HSE standards and quality procedures will ensure compliance with regulations and maintain the integrity of the production process.

Continuous Improvement : By participating in and promoting initiatives to improve quality, safety, and processes, you will drive ongoing enhancements in the workplace.

Apply Manufacturing Knowledge : Demonstrate a strong understanding of manufacturing processes by correctly implementing changes in current processes, equipment, and applications. This contributes to continuous improvement and meets the function’s needs.

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.

This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Requires significant relevant work experience or specialized skills obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience.

QUALIFICATIONS

Additional Information:

Maintain APS and hour-by-hour boards, keeping all information on the board fully updated, including post quality tracking charts and sheets.

Cover for absenteeism where needed within the team, group, or department.

Familiarity with hand tools and fasteners.

Knowledge of Microsoft suite.
