Irrigation Tech

Kinsey Irrigation District, in SE Montana, has a position for an Irrigation Tech. We are seeking a motivated individual that enjoys a large variety of tasks and a balance of indoor and outdoor work environments. This is a full-time, year-round position with varied work hours, depending on the season. The job includes all aspects of delivering Irrigation water, rebuilding pumps, cleaning or burning ditches, repairs to irrigation components, equipment operating, equipment repair and more.
Job requirements:
Valid Drivers license- CDL preferred
Capable of lifting 75 lbs.
Ability to work independently and with co-workers.
Applicant needs to communicate clearly and professionally with Supervisors and Ag Producers.
Ability to supervise other employees for specific tasks.
The employer provides training and will consider applicants with experience in any of the following areas: Irrigation delivery and operations, Heavy Equipment Operating, Pump rebuilding and machining, Vehicle and equipment repair.
The starting wage is $22/ hr or greater DOE. Overtime is required during spring start up. Benefits include 100% paid health insurance for employees, and family can be added at their cost, 4% matching retirement contribution, 1hr per week starting vacation pay,1 hr per week starting sick leave, some paid holidays and life insurance. Phone stipend. Housing is possible.
Start date is very flexible
