Convergint is looking for a full-time, enthusiastic, results driven and forward-thinking Chief Security Officer to join our amazing culture. In this role, you are responsible for developing and overseeing the company’s comprehensive security strategy, ensuring the protection of both physical and digital assets. You will lead efforts to secure Convergints infrastructure, safeguard sensitive data, and implement robust physical security protocols across all sites. This role demands a strategic leader with a deep understanding of both cyber and physical security challenges, who can proactively mitigate risks and respond to evolving threats. What you’ll do
Security Strategy: Develop and implement a unified security strategy that integrates both physical and digital security measures across the organization.
Physical Security : Oversee the security of all facilities, assets, and personnel, including access controls, surveillance systems, emergency response protocols, and third-party security contracts.
Cybersecurity: Lead the design and implementation of cyber defense initiatives, including threat detection, vulnerability assessments, incident response, and compliance with relevant regulations.
Risk Management: Identify and assess security risks to the business, implementing measures to minimize vulnerabilities and protect critical assets.
Compliance and Governance: Ensure all security practices adhere to industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, etc.).
Incident Response: Lead cross-functional teams in response to security incidents, including physical breaches, cyber-attacks, or data leaks, coordinating internal resources and external partners as necessary.
Technology Integration: Collaborate closely with IT and other departments to integrate security technologies, systems, and protocols, ensuring seamless protection across digital and physical environments.
Security Awareness: Foster a culture of security awareness across the organization by leading training programs and communications to educate employees on best practices and threat response.
Vendor Management: Oversee relationships with security vendors and service providers, ensuring they meet Convergints standards for protection and compliance.
Budget Oversight: Manage the security budget, optimizing investments in tools, technologies, and personnel to achieve strategic goals.
What You’ll Need
Proven experience in both physical security management and cybersecurity leadership roles, ideally within a technology-driven or enterprise environment.
In-depth knowledge of security frameworks, regulations, and technologies.
Strong risk management and crisis response experience.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and influence key stakeholders.

Requirements:
Education: College degree, trade school or equivalent experience
Certifications: CISSP, CISM, CPP, or PSP are highly desirable.
