Senior Delivery & Install Driver

This position offers a $1000 SIGN ON BONUS for new team members. Responsible for the efficient and quality pick-up, relocation, and delivery of office equipment in a safe manner. Installation and networking of gear may be necessary during overall delivery to customers. The quality and professionalism of the driver can directly impact future customer purchase decisions. The driver will provide basic training on the devices being delivered and must meet all federal DOT requirements while adhering to Delivery Safety Standards.

Primary Responsibilities

Safely deliver equipment to the correct location.

Maintain log books per DOT regulations (electronic or manual).

Conduct pre- and post-trip reviews to ensure the vehicle is safe and clean, compliant with DOT and state laws.

Perform product pick-up during delivery to minimize costs.

Execute basic connected installations, including setting up IP addresses and downloading print drivers.

Participate in Safety Programs.

Pre-call customers when applicable.

Achieve expected productivity levels based on assigned workload and experience.

Demonstrate good technical and excellent customer relation skills.

Identify customer needs and refer calls to appropriate parties as necessary.

Provide constructive feedback to service and process teams regarding networking and installation initiatives.

Complete technical training on new equipment as required.

Maintain a professional appearance in driver uniform.

Contact Dispatch and/or service department if technician assistance is needed.

Ensure equipment is configured to the Bill of Lading and other documentation.

Load and secure equipment in the delivery vehicle.

Capture electronic customer signatures upon completion of transactions.

Ensure all paperwork is signed and processed properly.

Assist in training new delivery drivers.

Conduct cycle counts and inventory reconciliation as needed.

Responsible for inventory value up to $1,000,000.

Overnight stays may be required.

Operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Experience

Safe driving record and history.

Minimum of two years of medium-duty truck driving experience.

On-the-job training with field technicians and online technical training focused on networking and installation.

Must pass a road test and maintain a valid commercial drivers license in accordance with company policy.

Eligibility to drive a commercial vehicle according to FMCSR regulations.

Valid and current medical card is required

Be at least 20 years of age, properly licensed in his or her current state of residence

Required Education

High school diploma or equivalent education is required.

Valid commercial drivers license required as applicable per state.

Working Conditions

Work conditions may lead to serious injuries if proper lifting and moving procedures, as well as road rules, are not followed.

Frequent physical activities including stooping, bending, squatting, and kneeling are required.

Must be able to lift equipment weighing up to 100 pounds and move equipment that may weigh up to 1000 pounds.

Work assignments are diversified and may include various conditions such as office, warehouse, and van/truck environments.

Frequent exposure to chemical solvents and cleaners.

Ability to work independently is essential.
