Business Development Manager

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for leading all electronics sales
efforts including identifying market opportunities, perpetuating the brand, and
delivering results through revenue growth.
This individual will maintain clear communication of customer
requirements including, but not limited to, sales opportunities, business
development, identification of leadership engagement plan, and market
conditions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Responsible for managing current accounts including sales forecasting, introduction of new part numbers, creating and running promotions
· Acquire market data through all available channels including direct dealer and end customer contact
· Determine product offering based on market conditions and demand
· Grow sales to new customers and partnerships
· Produce feasibility studies and business plans for new product development
· Lead and collaborate quote review approvals and proposal preparation/submission for new contract development
· Monitor external and internal environment for development of new market segments
· Develop, maintain, and implement plans in support of short and long-range objectives which are consistent with strategic Business Unit guidelines
· Understand current and future market trends and customer purchasing strategies
· Establish and cultivate strong relationships with our customers and internally to promote achievement of the above responsibilities
· Work with cross-functional teams (inside sales, customer service, production,distribution)
· Travel 50%
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work
is performed mostly in a controlled atmosphere.
Some exposure to harsh conditions for short periods of time is
possible. This employee will be required
to demonstrate continued knowledge of Haz/Com regulations and
requirements. All employees are required
to follow safety standards and wear all person protective equipment in
designated areas. This person must have strong multi-tasking skills and be able
to frequently accept and perform under elevated pressure or stress. Overnight
travel of varying lengths may be required, at times with little notice.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Sitting 60%, Standing/walking 40%. Ability to
lift and carry up to 20 pounds is required.

of this position, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, talk and
hear; and occasionally stoop, kneel, crouch, use hands and fingers to handle or
feel, and reach with hands and arms, climb or balance.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
· Bachelor’s degree in business marketing, or related field or equivalent experience.
· Strong analytical and organizational skills, ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
· Acute understanding of what drives the EBITDA gross margin of customer business and needed actions to improve it
· Proven experience as a sales representative
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Strong customer service and rapport
· Great persuasive and negotiation skills
· Good interpersonal and presentation skills
