Principal Service Solutions is hiring an Installation Coordinator who will be part of the Site Project Management Team which is responsible for installing company equipment at customer’s facilities.  Responsible for coordinating installation work between the Site Project Teams, Remote Management and the customer. Typically oversee assignments such as safety leader, material planner, mechanical/electrical worker and/or supervisor, overall installation coordinator, team leader, and QAQC leader.

These are long-term, full-time positions with full benefits based out of De Soto, KS. Our benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), PTO, and paid holidays.

Pay range is $28-30/hr DOE.

 ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Monitor scheduling, procedures, and performance of company equipment at the customer’s facility, recommending improvements and modifications deemed necessary. 

Oversee the implementation and training of approved control systems and procedures.

Work closely with System Engineers and Project Managers on equipment installation reporting back shipping issues, design issues and other changes that may have been made undetected from MMUSA

Assist in the development of installation procedures for company equipment and may be requested to prepare procedures based on individual’s skills and experience.

Oversee contractors on the installation of equipment to ensure quality of work is up to standards and training is provided as appropriate.

Administration of day-to-day operations at customer’s facility.

Receive and oversee the installation of parts for company equipment in the customer’s facility.

Input data to various computer programs. 

Data manipulation, retrieval, and report creation and submission to System Engineer, Project Manager and Service/ Installation Manager.

Monitor, guide and train contractor’s resources and vendors required for the efficient operation of company interests.

Work with installation subcontractors to compile and complete a checklist to formally complete a Project.

Coordinate material movement, electrical and mechanical contractors, QAQC work based on project needs.

Create and update installation schedules and tasks.

Attend customer and MMUSA meetings daily or weekly.

QUALIFICATIONS 

Associates degree (AS) in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering and 5 years of material handling experience as a field service technician; or equivalent combination of education and experience in the industry

Mechanical/electrical skills.

Ability to use unique tools applicable to maintenance. 

Familiarity with one or more of the following pieces of equipment: stacker cranes, conveyors, and/or AGVs.

Ability to use Microsoft Office Programs

Ability to read and understand equipment drawings and identify parts through drawings.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.

Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.

Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

While performing the duties of this position, the employee frequently works near live equipment moving parts requiring situation awareness at all times.  

The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals and risk of electrical shock.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
