The Opportunity

As the Organization Effectiveness Consultant , you will have the opportunity to:

Be responsible for implementation of Organization Effectiveness strategies and plans to support Black & Veatch in achievement of global business objectives

Operate as mid and senior level Organization Effectiveness practitioner and consultant in multiple practice areas

Own multiple OE practice areas (model, tools, adoption, training, etc)

Support implementation of OE capability development.

Implement large programmatic OE initiatives such as Change Readiness, Change Leadership, & Change Capability

The Team

Black & Veatch’s Business Enablement consists of critical groups that help enable the organizations people, projects, and businesses to be as successful as possible. Functions in this group include Digital & Information Technology, Global Finance, Global Human Resources, Legal, Risk Management, and Government Affairs and Real Estate and Building Services.

Key Responsibilities

Works with HR Partners and/or business leadership to assess, scope, develop, and deploy critical OE solutions for the enterprise, including:

Advise on and facilitate large scale, complex change management initiatives

Consult on and provide leader and team effectiveness solutions

Consult on and facilitate small scale organization design and alignment engagements.

Works at multiple levels throughout the company, including senior executives and business unit executives

Implements large OE programs targeted at building enterprise change capability, readiness, and leadership.

Applies theoretical knowledge and practical experience related to OE/OD methodologies, processes and tools; infuses new knowledge, theories and practices within the OE tools, team, and with HR partners.

Supports major OE initiatives with solid project management skills and practices.

Serves as OE practice lead for one or more OE practice area such as change management, organization design,consulting and contracting, etc. Responsible for maturing the model tools and team, abilities.

Supports OE capability development with HR partners and leaders in the business.

Lead development/implementation of new or revised OE tools, models, approaches.

Regularly communicate (share/discuss) organizational learnings/information to deepen cross-team knowledge,awareness, understanding.

Minimum Qualifications

6 years experience in organization effectiveness, facilitation, and OE consulting areas in complex corporate environments

Bachelor’s degree in human resource, development/behavior/psychology, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

Strong knowledge of OE methodologies, processes and tools, models and theories

Ability to manage projects and project teams utilizing a project plan

Experience in continuous improvement and/or process improvement

Lean or six sigma certification a plus

Basic leadership coaching experience

Ability to facilitate large groups through problem resolutions

Critical thinker who utilizes curiosity in problem discovery and solutions

Ability to synthesize multiple data and behavioral components

Multi-tasking ability to manage several reasonably complex deliverables across more than one client group consecutively and manage others.

Basic knowledge of critical human infrastructure industries

Excellent verbal and written skills

Work Environment/Physical Demands

Normal office environment with a hybrid work schedule: 3 days in office and 2 days remote
