Job Title: Laboratory TechnicianJob Description
Performs numerous chemical and physical tests based on American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) methods or accepted industry standards in multiple test areas. Assists with equipment calibration, maintenance, and basic troubleshooting. Cleans glassware and test equipment. Assists with preparing reagents as needed. Records data on appropriate data sheets and reports data to the LIMS system. Responsible for maintaining quality records, control charts, and lab supply inventories. Complies with safety, quality, and housekeeping requirements. Participates in cross-training as needed.
Hard Skills
Bachelors Degree in a chemistry or a life science degree with a chemistry minor
Job Type
This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).
Work Site
This is a fully on-site position in sulphur, Louisiana.
Work Environment
4 on / 4 off shifts: 6am – 6pm (days) or 6pm – 6am (nights). Will be working in the main lab testing all types of crude oil, refined gases, and refined fuels using ASTM methods.
