Job Title: Engineering TechnicianJob Description
Performs a wide range of analytical tasks related to the design, construction, maintenance, and operation of electrical power distribution facilities. Projects include design of distribution facilities (serving residential, commercial and small industrial customers), relocation of existing distribution facilities, distribution system improvements such as minor expansions, conversions, and rebuilds. Primary Duties: – Creates work orders, job sketches, material lists, cost estimates, and updates GIS system for new jobs, property damage, and correction of errors to facilities. – Uses Arc FM GIS mapping. – Reviews inbox with jobs from service reps and area personnel to meet standards and safety rules, designs jobs, and submits for approval (90% of the day). – Handles after-the-fact jobs following storm damage. – Creates work orders in SAP and receives training for SAP for lineman to perform after-hours and storm work (monthly, not daily). – Performs similar work to the team with a bit more variety. Level of Responsibility: – Routine duties based on detailed instruction. – Works under direct supervision. – Responds to routine questions and problems within standards and guidelines. – Follows established procedures to accomplish job requirements.

Work Site
This is a fully on-site position in Muskogee, Oklahoma.
Work Environment
Currently working remotely, so a strong internet connection is required. Once teams return to offices, this position is based in Muskogee, OK, requiring a daily commute. Office environment requiring computer work. Typical hours are M-F, 7:30am-4:00pm with potential for overtime. Outdoor work requires traversing rough terrain, exposure to hazardous conditions, extreme weather, and wearing PPE. Must be available for call-outs, respond to storm damage, and travel including overnight stays. Physical requirements include lifting 25 lbs., performing repetitive motions, and climbing stairs.
