Sr Modeling Engineer – RF Device Models

We are looking for a Senior Modeling Engineer to join our team developing our innovative RF device models for Qorvos GaN and GaAs technologies.

This will involve fitting, verifying, distributing and supporting Linear and Nonlinear device models for development of RF ICs. The candidate must have strong communication skills and be able to conduct technical reviews with design engineering teams.

This position will be a key member on the Qorvo Modeling Team, supporting Design Engineering, Product Engineering, RandD, and Process Technology Development.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

– Develop Compact Modelsfor Qorvo GaN and GaAs technologies to be usedfor design simulation.

– Develop, distribute and maintain model libraries.

– Develop design guides, tutorials, and examples for the design community.

Required Skills and Experience:

– Minimum BS in Electrical Engineering with combined 5 yearsexperience in an RF IC Compact Modeling and/or Design Engineer role.

– Strong understanding of Compact modeling, RF/microwave design, and measurement.

– Use of either Keysight ADS or Cadence AWR.

– Ability to develop non-linear device models.

– Ability to work well with many different teamsacross the organization, that are located globally.

– Ability to work, in person, in an RF Test lab.

Desired Skills and Experience:

– Record of publishing in technical journals and/or magazines.

– MS and/or PhD in Electrical Engineering

Work Location: Richardson, Texas.
