Job Description:

We are looking for you—a seasoned professional in Product Marketing for business devices who can lead and execute on the development, marketing, and strategy of the AT&T portfolio.

In this role, you will take devices from initial proposal to end of life and have responsibility for the product launch, positioning, value proposition, overall customer experience, and lifecycle management. You will lead cross-functional teams including Enterprise, Public Safety, Retail Operations, Messaging, Product Placement, Public Relations, Legal, Training, Product Certification and Marketing Communications to launch new devices and services. You will also provide future roadmap input based on anticipated customer needs, competitive landscape, and market and technology trends.

Key Responsibilities

Product planning: Define product to deliver the industry’s best portfolio of devices. Co-develop product strategy with OEM partners including technologies, features, services, price positioning, product positioning, launch timing, distribution channels, forecasting, and solution ecosystem including apps and accessories. Craft and implement user experience requirements with internal stakeholders and OEMs. Partner with Enterprise, Public Safety, Product Engineering, Supply Chain, and the OEM partner to ensure a high-quality customer experience is delivered.

Lifecycle management: Manage product from RFP award, to launch, to end of life. Track and report on quality metrics and sales performance including mix of portfolio, gross adds, upgrades, and returns. Evaluate and enhance promotional offers, distribution channels, pricing, and other element to achieve business goals. Partner with Supply Chain and OEM to manage challenging inventory planning with varying demand and lead times for enterprise and public safety customers.

Market analysis: Use customer feedback, market research, and social media monitoring to assess customer preferences and incorporate into roadmap decisions and other lifecycle activities. Perform regular competitive analysis to evaluate product capabilities, pricing, promotion, distribution; analyze how these impact market share; recommend and implement changes required to be competitive.

Product marketing content: Develop, collaborate, and review product marketing content with internal marketing teams and OEM partners including merchandising, collateral, web, advertising, press releases, blog posts, internal communications and promotional materials.

OEM management: Collaborate with OEMs and other key suppliers to meet AT&T product and service requirements. Internally represent AT&T interests and help secure product program support.

Role is located in Atlanta, GA or Dallas, TX. No Relocation Assistance provided.

Minimum:

4-6 years of experience in product management in telecommunications, technology, or consumer electronics-related industries

Demonstrated ability to partner with internal cross functional teams in program/project management capacity

Self-starter with excellent written, verbal and oral presentation skills

Strong analytic and fact-based decision-making skills

Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, and Word

Proven ability to translate ideas and vision into product definition and requirements

Desired:

Experience with OEM or a technology start-up in a product management/product marketing capacity

Bachelors degree in Marketing, Business or Engineering; MBA

Working knowledge of smartphone and mobile broadband platforms including supported services and applications

Experience managing partners and vendors including marketing development funds, partner field sales/marketing representatives, and partner strategy

Experience regularly presenting in front of large audiences and executives

Our Lead Product Marketing Managers earn between $128,400 – $215,800 of TSR. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
