– High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.

JOB SUMMARY:
Works under general supervision to machine plus metal off castings. Operates various machine tools varying from fully manual operation to completely automated computer-controlled machining centers. Receives comprehensive instructions from supervisor, engineering, and computer data base. Continuously works to meet quality customer requirements with minimum inventory. Works as a team member in a cell environment to optimize product flow.
Machine Tool Operator may not move for two (2) years unless movement is a promotion within the department.
MUST BE ABLE TO WORK 12 HOUR ROTATING NIGHT SHIFTS, 7:00 P.M TO 7:00 A.M. (2 on 2 off, 3 on 2 off, 2 on 3 off)
Starting pay is at $21.28 plus shift differential and a competitive benefits package.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Using Computers (entering information, etc.)
Must be able to read and interpret Product Criteria (PC) and Activity Instructions (AI).
Must be able to function as a member of a team and be able to work under general supervision.
Must be able to maintain expected quality levels.
Comply with all site required policies and procedures including but not limited to:
EHS, Quality, Code of Conduct and the Wichita Falls Employee Handbook.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Organize work in process into groups according to required machine operation.
2. Call up appropriate machine instructions on CRT or PMS book.
3. Install proper cutting tools into the machine tool, measure tool length, and enter measurement into the computer.
4. Install correct fixture(s) into the machine tool.
5. Using a personal computer, machine programs are to be transferred into the machine controller from the personal computer hard drive. Programs are to be backed up by the operator.
6. Machine castings and visually inspect against PMS standards.
7. Operator recognizes what constitutes a dull cutting tool and replaces as required.
8. Responsible for product quality while perfo ming semi-routine task.
9. Maintains a clean and orderly work area with a continuous goal to improve the 5 S program.
10. Responsible for safety and must wear required safety equipment.

Comply with all department, facility, corporate and regulatory EHS regulations
Wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE). (Requires wearing safety glasses, hearing protection and metal tarsal shoes).

Report all safety, health and environmental concerns to your supervisor in a timely manner.
Attend all EHS training.

Mori Seiki Horizontal 4 Axis Milling Machine.
Mori Seike Vertical 5 Axis Milling Machine.
3. Work Environment: (Chemical and Physical Exposure)
Exposure to high speed cutting tools, rapidly moving machine tables, and sharp edges/machine burrs.
May be exposed to noise, oil, dust, fumes, chemicals, heat and cold.
